Yesterday, we had the privilege of welcoming Fraser, better known as Fraser Logan, to The Great Western.
I first came across Fraser’s work at the beginning of March, and from that moment I was captivated. He has an extraordinary gift for listening, finding the right words, and creating something deeply personal. A true craftsman. A true wordsmith.
Throughout the day, Fraser sat beside his beautiful vintage typewriter, inviting people to pause for a moment, share a conversation, and leave with a poem written just for them. Watching those quiet interactions unfold was genuinely special. Each poem became a unique keepsake, capturing a moment that words alone somehow shouldn’t be able to hold—but Fraser manages it.
One poem in particular now has pride of place, beautifully framed on our fireplace mantelpiece, where it will remain as a reminder of a very special day.
We feel incredibly fortunate that Fraser chose to spend the day with us, and we’re so grateful for the warmth, kindness and creativity he shared with so many people.

The best news? Fraser will be returning to The Great Western on Saturday 22nd August for our Summer Party on the Lawns, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome him back.
