🚣♂️🌊 COME AND SEE THE BOAT — TOMORROW! 🌊🚣♂️Sunday 4th October | Around 2pm | The Great Western
One of our lovely regulars, Duncan, and his rugby mate Daz make up the Claverdon Lions — and they’re about to take on something completely bonkers!
They’re competing in the World’s Toughest Row, rowing from La Gomera to Antigua — more than 3,000 miles across the Atlantic, non-stop in two-hour shifts, for around 50 days. That’s roughly 2 MILLION oar strokes! 😳
Tomorrow at around 1pm ( ish ) they’re bringing their incredible 7.5m ocean rowing boat down to The Great Western.
Come down, have a proper look at the boat they’ll be rowing, eating, sleeping and surviving in for 50 days, meet Duncan and Daz and hear all about the challenge.
They’re raising money for LooseHeadz, supporting mental health throughout the rugby community. ❤️
Four years of preparation. 3,000+ miles. Two mates. One VERY small boat.
Come and see it for yourself tomorrow — and if you’d like to support their fundraising, you can donate here:
