As always, The Great Western is proud to support the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal. If you would like to donate directly, you can do so here:

The poppies that grew across the churned battlefields of Flanders, immortalised in the poem In Flanders Fields, remain a powerful symbol of remembrance.
Here at the pub, we are honoured to be custodians of three blue plaques commemorating young men who lost their lives. Their stories are part of our community’s history, and we are proud to help keep their memory alive.
Please join us for our annual morning of Remembrance, with tea, coffee and time together afterwards.
