🥾💚 TODAY, ONE OF OUR GREAT WANDERERS IS ON A VERY SPECIAL WANDER…
As we head out on our Great Wanderers walk today, one of our own is walking somewhere a little different — joining her son, Sam, for the final stretch of what has been his greatest wander yet.
At just 21, Sam has taken on the extraordinary challenge of walking approximately 1,215 miles between Land’s End and John o’ Groats, raising funds and awareness for rainforest conservation — a cause inspired by the time he spent working alongside conservation researchers in Costa Rica.
Today, his incredibly proud mum gets to put on her walking boots and join him as those thousands upon thousands of footsteps finally bring him towards the finish. 🥹🥾
And somehow, that feels very Great Wanderers to us.
Because while our own walks may be a little shorter, what brings us together is the same simple thing: putting one foot in front of another, sharing the journey and discovering what we are capable of along the way.
Walking connects people. It connects us with nature, with each other and with causes greater than ourselves.
And sometimes, when somebody really puts their mind to it, those footsteps can take them an absolutely extraordinary distance.
Sam — what an achievement. And to our fellow Great Wanderer walking those final miles beside her son today… we can only imagine how proud you must be. 💚
