There’s something incredibly special happening, and today it really stopped me in my tracks.
I wasn’t able to join The Great Wanderers walk this morning, but the group went anyway. Friendships have formed, connections have been made, and what started as a simple idea has become something much bigger than a walk.
To see people taking themselves off together, chatting, laughing, supporting one another and building genuine friendships is incredibly humbling.
Pubs have always been about so much more than food and drink. At their very best, they are the bedrock of a community — places where people meet, connect, celebrate, support one another and feel they belong.
To think that not so long ago this was a derelict pub, sitting quietly with so much potential, and to now see it flourishing with life, friendship and community spirit is something we never take for granted.
We are constantly astonished by what has grown here. Not because of buildings, gardens or events, but because of people. The friendships formed, the conversations shared, the smiles exchanged and the sense of belonging that is developing every single day.
