Good afternoon and welcome to week 10!
So many of you have been asking about our beloved model G scale railway track, which ran along the ceiling in the bar area of the building… After 13 years of neglect and vandalism the track has mostly been stolen along with the engine, in short it’s caput ! However, I am excited to share with you the fabulous news that we have found two willing and talented gents who are volunteering their skills and time to get the track repaired and working once more. Ladies and gentlemen I introduce to you Colin and Adrian. Words cannot express our sincere thanks for your kindness and generosity. Colin will Also be donating one of his own beloved engines for the pub to use… 🚂 Shane and I met up with the chaps over the past weekend to discuss the mammoth Task in hand, and today work started to dismantle the tracks… I’m sure you will all join us in cheering these fine gentlemen on 👌👏…. 🚂
We also had a lovely afternoon with the Leamington And Warwick model railway society at their open day where we were shown a working G scale Great Western in action, we thank LWMRS for their time.
