This weekend, we open our doors with full hearts as we welcome all mothers and mother figures to The Great Western for our very first Mother’s Day weekend.
Mothering is a quiet kind of heroism.
It is the giving of time, of patience, of wisdom and of love — often long before the world even realises it is being given.
It is so much more than story time and bedtime tales.
It is the shaping of the stories of our lives.
The arms that hold us when we fall.
The voice that steadies us when we doubt ourselves.
The presence that quietly guides us forward, day after day.
This weekend, we celebrate those women — the mothers, grandmothers, step-mothers, godmothers, aunties and the remarkable women ( sometimes men ) who choose to love, nurture and care for others as if they were their own.
We hope that, for a little while, you allow yourselves to simply be cared for.
Whether you are stopping by for coffee and pastries as we open from 11am, joining us for lunch or afternoon tea, or gathering around the table with family for Mother’s Day Sunday lunch, we are honoured to share this special moment with you.
Because the greatest stories in our lives are written by those who love us most.
