At The Great Western we are incredibly proud of the amazing people who make up our hospitality family. Our team isn’t just pouring pints and serving plates — many of them are at exciting stages in life, studying at college, learning trades, discovering their talents and building their futures.
We believe hospitality should be a place where people can grow, experiment and shine, and wherever possible we love to give our team the chance to step forward and use their skills beyond the bar and kitchen.
So today we’re giving a huge cheer to LAYNIE, who is currently in Year One of her carpentry course. As we begin developing our brand new outside bar area, Laynie is right there at the very beginning — tools in hand — helping to build, shape and create the spaces that will soon become part of The Great Western story.
From building bars to crafting seating and social spaces, it’s wonderful to see her talents already coming to life here at the pub.
