Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to everyone who came to celebrate our first birthday with us yesterday. 🥂✨🎈
To stand there and see The Great Western full of people laughing, eating, drinking, listening to music, catching up with friends and simply enjoying this beautiful little corner of the Warwickshire countryside was incredibly special.
Because this birthday was about so much more than 12 months of being open.
It was about everything that came before it too — the ideas, the plans, the dust, the renovation, the restoration, the long days, the setbacks, the excitement and the enormous amount of love and determination that went into bringing The Great Western back to life.
And then, after all of that, came you.
You came to dine, to drink, to walk, to celebrate, to meet friends, to bring your families and your dogs, to sit in the sunshine, to listen to music, to raise a glass and to make memories here.
That is what has turned this building into a pub again. ❤️
A very special thank you to our brilliant kitchen team, who somehow found time amongst everything else to create the most beautiful birthday cake for us — and judging by how quickly it disappeared, it was very much appreciated! 🎂
And to our whole team, who have poured so much into this place over the past year, thank you. We are incredibly proud of what we are building together.
Yesterday gave us one of those rare moments to stop, look around and take it all in.
