Many, many congratulations to Spain! What a tournament, and what an incredible few weeks it has been here at The Great Western.
We’ve shared some huge sporting moments together — football, rugby, golf, tennis and Royal Ascot. We’ve had bands on the lawns, music, dancing, celebrations, cheers, a few tears and, most importantly, people coming together.
And as the final whistle blows, we’re reminded that fair play, friendship and an open welcome to all extend far beyond the sporting world.
At The Great Western, we strongly believe in being a place where everyone has a seat at the table.
Families and friends. Couples and colleagues. Old friendships and brand-new ones. Those celebrating something special and those simply popping in for a quiet pint, a coffee or a chat.
In a world where it can sometimes feel as though we’re all trying too hard to fit in, perhaps the real goal should be much simpler:…To belong. To feel comfortable. To feel accepted. To be welcomed exactly as you are.
With that in mind, we’ve decided to dedicate one of our new bench seating areas to something we hope will happen here for many years to come…
To new friendships and new memories yet to be made.
Because the future always feels a little brighter when a hand of friendship is extended, a seat is shared and a smile says, “You’re welcome here.”
